The Kyles of Bute and surrounding area is a world class destination for watersports. Derek and Fiona run Tighnabruaich Sailing School in the bay at Carry Farm during the summer months, providing expert tuition on their fleet of dinghies.

However, if you are more of a wind or kite surfer, then Carry Farm is an ideal location. Windsurfing from our shore gives you the option to stay in the bay and brush up on techniques, or for the more experienced, head across the Kyles towards the Bute shore at speed!

Kite surfing is possible in the bay for the experienced surfer, but the nearby Ostel Bay provides a more ideal location to launch your kite.

Watersports can be a dangerous activity if not taken seriously and we would always advice you to only take to the water if you are experienced and have taken all appropriate measures to ensure your safety.
